De Quervain’s tenosynovitis and thumb pain in physiotherapists practicing manual therapy: prevalence and associated factors

<p><strong>Background and Objective:</strong> Manual therapy is a treatment approach by physical therapists where different techniques are applied to patients with hands for rehabilitation purposes. The objective of the study was find frequency De’Quervain tenosynovitis thumb wrist pain in working centers relation age, body mass index (BMI), hours.</p>
 <p><strong>Methods:</strong> A cross-sectional conducted on 135 settings Lahore, Pakistan. Physiotherapists were enrolled convenience sampling. Data recorded questionnaire form. Finkelstein test performed check De Quervain’s tenosynovitis. numeric rating scale sued measure pain. data tested significance using statistical tests.</p>
 <p><strong>Results:</strong> On dominant hand, 99 (73.3%) had no pain, 104 (77%) 28 (20.7%) mild 20 (14.8%) Only 21 (15.6%) physiotherapists positive (De tenosynovitis). reported 100% negative result non-dominant side. There correlation between age (r = -0.005), BMI -0.110) hours -0.033) therapists.</p>
 <p><strong>Conclusion</strong>: concluded that prevalence tenosynovitis, thumb, more hand than majority thumb. <p> </p>
